Overview
Take the functional lead of our procurement analytics squad and drive Procurement Analytics to new heights. As Senior Manager Procurement Analytics, you will lead, coach and inspire a team of data scientists and visualization specialists, set clear OKRs, and manage agile delivery across multiple workstreams.
Responsibilities
- Define analytics strategy, OKRs & use-case funnel (spend, savings, performance) aligned with Group Procurement targets
- Manage Lufthansa Group’s Procurement Analytics Suite
- Prioritize backlog & feature development
- Lead agile squad of 5 analysts/data scientists
- Develop price forecasts, risk dashboards, simulators
- Translate models into Power BI visuals/storyboards
- Drive data-literacy for category managers, buyers, executives
- Extract insights for strategies & process optimization
- Research industry trends & regulations
- Guide teams on analytics tools & best practices
- Analyze S2P performance, drive improvements, oversee features
- Report on strategic effectiveness, efficiency & bottlenecks
Requirements
- Master’s degree in data science, business analytics, or similar
- 8+ years in procurement / supply-chain analytics, incl. 3+ years team leadership
- Proven track record turning analytics into savings / value / risk mitigation
- Expert in SAP Data Sphere/SAP BW (or Snowflake), SQL, Python or R
- Advanced Power BI incl. DAX/M and data-modelling best practice
- Solid grasp of ML/AI lifecycle & MLOps
- Agile product management (Scrum / Kanban)
- Benefit-tracking & NPV modelling
- Interest in emerging technologies like AI, ML, Blockchain, RPA, IoT
- Strategic storyteller able to engage C-suite
- “Coach-leader” mindset, building high-trust, high-impact teams
- Fluent German & English
