The contractually agreed place of work will be Unterföhring near Munich or Berlin. Possible travel costs to the place of work will not be reimbursed.

What you can expect in this role

• You design, develop, and maintain the infrastructure for our ad-serving middleware, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• You optimize system performance, focusing on response times, event loop efficiency, and load balancing.
• You implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to streamline the deployment and scaling of our AWS microservices.
• You collaborate with software developers to create CI/CD pipelines and automate processes.
• You ensure high availability of the middleware platform and minimize system downtime.
• You monitor and troubleshoot system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.

Your essential experience and education

• You have several years of experience in DevOps, preferably in an AdTech or high-volume server environment, with expertise in AWS Cloud and hands-on experience in scaling and managing microservice-based applications.
• You are proficient in JavaScript (Node.js is a plus) and have experience with developing or maintaining server-side applications.
• You possess strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar, and have a deep understanding of server-side scaling techniques and challenges, including managing event loops, response times, and large-scale incoming requests.
• You have experience with CI/CD tools and practices to enable smooth deployment and updates, and excellent problem-solving skills, especially in high-availability, low-latency environments.
• You have knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch for proactive management of system health.
