Your Core Responsibility:

• Initiate, develop and track sustainable measures for the continuous improvement of cyber security, especially cyber defense and resilience.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Analyze new threats and vulnerabilities, assess urgency and support system and application managers in implementing protective measures.
• Lead the design and execution of security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive information security policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure compliance with security policies, relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001). Consult on implementation best practices.

MUST HAVE:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security or a related role.
• Proven experience in managing information security systems and technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud security and experience with platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Strong understanding of common threat scenarios and mitigation strategies.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience in a managerial role within the information security field.
• Understanding of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, etc.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Experience with data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
• German Skills.
