Engineering Manager - Configuration Management (m/f/d)

Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). We have pledged to bring sustainable urban air mobility to life by getting electric air taxis off the ground in a way that complements existing transportation options in megacities across the globe. In 2011 we carried out the first-ever crewed flight of a fully electric multicopter and have since conducted more than 2,000 public and private test flights across the world (www.volocopter.com).

Your mission during this flight:

• You will lead and manage a team of configuration managers to ensure that all products and systems are configured accurately and efficiently.
• You will provide a solid understanding of configuration management principles, processes, and practices.
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams to properly plan, test, and implement all configuration changes.
• You will be responsible for aligning all configuration management activities with organizational goals and objectives.
• You will develop and implement configuration management policies and procedures.
• You will lead configuration control boards.
• You will provide technical guidance, disciplinary responsibility, and support to engineering departments.

Check in your professional skills:

• MSc, PhD or equivalent degree in engineering (enter field) or similar work experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in configuration management.
• Practical experience with managing multiple projects.
• Experience directly leading teams and individuals.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills along with a strong technical background in configuration management.
