Business Development Manager – Energy industry: Shape the energy transition with us! Together with our partner companies emsys VPP and emsys grid services, we at energy & meteo systems do our best every day to efficiently integrate renewable energies into electricity grids and markets and to further advance the energy transition. To this end, we offer our customers – electricity traders and grid operators worldwide – pioneering software products and full services. In addition to wind and solar power forecasts, these include virtual power plants for controlling decentralized energy systems and a platform concept for forward-looking grid planning. Your task

As a Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force in the acquisition team and provide us with operational and strategic support:

  • You open up new sales markets and build sales partnerships worldwide – to do this, you keep an eye on the competition and industry developments and constantly analyze the market.
  • With us, you don’t do traditional sales or cold calling – you look after the individual markets, including existing customers and inquiries from potential new customers who approach us.
  • You ping-pong with customers to identify their needs, match them with our solutions, convince them with your technical advice and are also firmly in the saddle when it comes to topics such as power trading, scheduling, MaKo, control power, redispatch, etc.
  • With your good instinct for the energy market, you also develop new business concepts and discuss their feasibility with your team.
  • Networking is one of your strengths: you represent us confidently at international trade fairs and congresses and are also happy to give a specialist presentation.

Your profile

For this exciting position, you need in-depth energy industry knowledge of energy markets, renewable energies and the electricity grid – otherwise you are keen to learn and are motivated to drive the energy transition forward.

  • Your professional experience in international sales is important, e.g. as a customer consultant, key account manager, sales engineer or similar – ideally you have already worked with sophisticated software services.
  • An economics or technical degree is an advantage, preferably in the field of energy management, natural sciences, industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable qualification.
  • You have a good command of German and English, and we are happy to hear about other foreign languages.
  • You are a strong negotiator and communicate with your customers at eye level – you always keep an eye on country-specific features.
  • In addition to your qualities as a networker, you should be willing to travel and flexible for this job.
  • You value teamwork in the office just as much as working independently from home – you never lose sight of your goal.
