The Team:
The COO Risk and Control team within COO division controls and monitors IT & Operations risk and the further development of IT & Operations systems, including the associated processes, inline to DWS risk management strategies. COO Risk & Control team within DWS Technology ensures that regulatory & risk management requirements are known, understood and rigidly followed. DWS management is informed by the Risk & Control function of compliance with controls over KPIs and associated risks. The role of COO Risk & Control is global and requires interaction with many areas of DWS and DB. The team currently consists of strong team players based in Frankfurt, Luxembourg, London, New York and Pune.
As a Risk and Control Reporting Officer (m/f/d) (Functional Role Title: Technology Specialist (IT Governance) (m/f/d), you will:
- Ensure that the risk profile of the organization's IT & Operations is aligned with the organization's goals and objectives from within the first line of defense.
- Identify and implement KRI monitoring for the COO area of DWS, including all subsidiaries of DWS group.
- Provide consistent reporting of implemented controls and compliance in adherence to risk management strategies.
- Provide and maintain a robust approach to monitor potential risks and vulnerabilities in the organization's IT & Operations systems.
- Establish and maintain a framework, which allows for timely remediation of potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Provide expert advice in the implementation of risk and control reporting initiatives.
Requirements:- Master's degree (or equivalent) in business administration, technology or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in the Technology or Operations areas in asset management sector, experience in Compliance, Risk Management preferred.
- Basic IT knowledge (databases, interfaces, scripts) is preferred.
- Relevant Risk Management certifications are preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills and structured approach; Ability to grasp new topics quickly and create the right framework for further evaluation and implementation.
- Personal initiative, results orientation and leadership qualities with regard to the independent implementation of medium-sized initiatives.
- Ideally, a broad network in Asset Management.
- Advanced knowledge of using MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Word to analyze and present complex issues; other project management and visualization tools are beneficial.
- A strong team player in constantly changing work groups.
- Excellent communication skills both within working groups and in presenting results in a clear and concise manner.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
