Doctoral Associate in Experimental Geochemistry: The University of Münster is seeking a committed and motivated individual for a fully funded part-time doctoral research associate position in experimental geochemistry. This research project focuses on the role of aqueous fluids in the mobilization and transfer of organic and inorganic carbon in subduction zones.
Research Area: Experimental Geochemistry, Mineralogy, Fluid Geochemistry and Thermodynamics
Location: Institute of Mineralogy, Faculty of Geosciences, University of Münster, Germany
The position is tied to a DFG-funded PhD project that investigates the mobilization and transfer mechanisms of carbon in subduction zones using advanced experimental techniques. The selected candidate will conduct in situ hydrothermal diamond anvil cell experiments combined with Raman spectroscopy, alongside thermodynamic modeling. The project will have a collaborative aspect, with planned secondments in Perugia, Italy, in partnership with Dr. Carla Tiraboschi.
Interested candidates should send a single PDF application to Prof. Carmen Sanchez-Valle at sanchezm@uni-muenster.de. The application should include the following:
