We are expanding our presence in Mainland Europe and seeking a strategic and dynamic Business Development Manager to lead growth in key territories.

Position Overview

The Business Development Manager – Mainland Europe will drive growth by identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities across target markets. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the coatings and construction products sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in increasing Zinsser’s market share and presence across Mainland Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy across Mainland Europe to drive sales growth and brand presence.

  • Identify new markets, customer segments, and partnership opportunities, including distributors, wholesalers, and end-users.

  • Manage and grow relationships with key accounts and channel partners, providing training and technical support as required.

  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform strategic decisions and product positioning.

  • Collaborate closely with the marketing, product development, and operations teams to align go-to-market strategies.

  • Monitor sales performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular reporting to senior leadership.

  • Represent Zinsser at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings throughout Mainland Europe.

  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and innovations in the coatings and construction markets.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles in the coatings, building materials, or related industries.

  • Proven track record of delivering sales growth and developing new markets, preferably within Europe.

  • Strong network of industry contacts within paint distribution, or B2B, B2C sales channels.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Fluent in English; additional European languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish, Dutch) highly desirable.

  • Willingness to travel regularly across Mainland Europe (up to 50%).
