Position

To continue our growth, we are seeking a creative, proactive, and motivated senior bioinformatician highly skilled in NGS data analysis and pipeline development to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of new tools and applications for transcriptomics analysis essential for the company's business and future growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and execute workflows for transcriptomics data analysis.


• Develop and maintain web-based applications for data visualization and dissemination using web application development tools.


• Communicate results and findings to team members and assist with results interpretation and hypothesis generation.


• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in bioinformatics, genomics, and transcriptomics research and contribute to the development of new analytical methods.


• Possible team management role depending on experience.

Qualifications

• M.Sc and at least three years of relevant experience or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.


• Must have experience in transcriptomics analysis (RNA-seq, scRNA-seq), experience with ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, and other NGS applications is a plus.


• Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, and Unix shell scripting.


• Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases, such as Bowtie, STAR, DESeq2, and Ensembl.


• Experience with pipeline development tools (NextFlow, Snakemake), R Shiny visualization, and web applications development.


• Experience with cloud computing (i.e., AWS, Azure, GPL) is a big plus.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork skills.


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


• Eligibility to work in Switzerland (Swiss work permit or Swiss / EU citizenship).
