Relationship Manager Eastern Europe & Ukraine (60%)

  • Support the Swisscontact Eastern Europe Regional Director to manage and further expand its portfolio in the region including Ukraine
  • Support the Country Director Ukraine and the Swisscontact team in Kyiv to expand Swisscontact’s portfolio in Ukraine by providing key market intelligence
  • Closely coordinate with internal stakeholders to perform mapping of major funding partners (mainly Switzerland) and engage them in the economic advancement of Ukraine
  • Identify and coordinate funding opportunities
  • Conduct Funding and Private Sector Partners’ due diligence
  • Drive partnerships with foundations, corporates, associations and other actors
  • Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of the donor database, proposal tracking system, and resources roster in the team relating to Ukraine and Eastern Europe

Requirements

  • Masters in International Development/Management or any other relevant field with 5 years of experience.
  • Good understanding and network within Swiss and eventually other Foundations, Charities and private companies
  • Good understanding and network within the Ukrainian development landscape
  • Understanding of donor proposal requirements (SDC/SECO, USAID, FCDO, Foundations, Corporates, etc.)
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, particularly in English and Ukrainian
  • Ability to conduct independent research, intelligence gathering and networking
  • Experience in any of Swisscontact’s thematic areas will be considered an asset
