Overview

Supervisor, Quality Assurance - 12 Months Contract – Bradford, ON

Job location: Bradford onsite, ON • Employment type: Full Time Contract • Hours: 40 Hours per week

About the role

Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently looking for a Supervisor, Quality Assurance to join our team. The successful candidate will be required to have some flexibility in their schedule to meet the needs of the facility. The incumbent will report directly to the Manager, Quality Assurance at River (Bradford, ON) and will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote positive safety culture through participation, and adherence to, HSE programs
  • Promote positive working relationships with all departments
  • Understand, interpret, and apply regulatory, GACP, GPP and GMP requirements
  • Act as an ambassador for regulatory and process compliance
  • Hire, develop, train, support, empower, and evaluate direct reports
  • Establish and track goals for direct reports that align to over-all business objectives
  • Write, revise, and continuously improve in-scope SOPs ensuring compliance
  • Provide guidance to direct reports, production, and peers on in scope Quality systems
  • Reinforce timely reaction to, and documentation of, deviations and non-conformances
  • Responsible for the maintenance (site-level), conformance, management and KPI reporting (where required) of:
  • Internal & Targeted Auditing
  • Control of Non-conforming Product
  • Execution of Environmental Monitoring: Air, Water & Surface
  • In-process inspection & raw material inspection
  • Glass/Brittle Plastics Inspection
  • Lead Preventive Control Plan development and maintenance, as assigned
  • Participate in Annual Product Quality Review
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurances programs such as GMP, HACCP and ISO.
  • Strong team facilitation/leadership skills with a commitment to team development.
  • Strong interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Leadership / team facilitation skills.
  • Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Microsoft Office products, as well as business systems such as SAP
Education & Experience
  • A Canadian (or assessed as equivalent) B.Sc. degree or equivalent in an applicable discipline of science (chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, chemical engineering, medicine, horticulture, medical laboratory science or related).
  • Three (3) years’ experience in Quality Control/Assurance.
