The successful candidate will manage and oversee projects within the gas generation sector, ensuring compliance with safety standards while driving collaborative teamwork. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years in project management, strong technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Project Manager, West is responsible for ensuring projects are completed in a safe and efficient manner through the application of project management procedures and processes. As the Project Manager you will be the key accountable party for defining, planning, executing, and closing a given project or initiative. This role will work collaboratively across TransAlta’s generation business to ensure business outcomes are achieved with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit.
This role is base out of our office in Keephills, Alberta but this person could be assigned projects at any of TransAlta’s Canadian gas generation sites.
This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment testing.
