Job summary

A leading contractor in mining services is seeking a professional to oversee the deployment and optimisation of technology systems. You will act as the regional SME for Operational Technology, ensuring successful project delivery and enhancing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Operational Technology systems and at least three years of relevant experience. Oversee the deployment, commissioning, support and optimisation of mine technology systems across the organisation to enhance operational efficiency, safety, system reliability and data- driven decision making.

This Perth-based position acts as the regional SME for Operational Technology and Mine Operating systems. Site attendance is required as needed to support successful project delivery, system implementation, and ongoing operational performance across multiple sites.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following.
  • A technically focused mindset, with a strong desire to overcome challenges.
  • Strong understanding of Operational Technology systems, data integrity, and system governance
  • Sound knowledge of networking principles and the ability to manage cyber security risks in OT environments
  • Ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communicator, in both verbal and written skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, with a proven ability to plan, execute, and monitor complex projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
Desired skills and abilities:
  • Tertiary/Technical/ trade qualification desired, preferably with a technology focus.
  • Three (3) years minimum industry relevant Operational Technology experience.
  • Exposure to mining technology including Fleet Management Systems, HPGPS, Payload Management, Collision Avoidance, IVMS and OT communication networks will be highly regarded.
  • Experience working with OT data, reporting, and analysis tools
  • Ability to develop and deliver training and knowledge transfer to operational and project teams
