We are looking for a reliable, passionate, and enthusiastic person to help lead our team.

Grace has a highly regarded and active Co-curricular Performing Arts program within Grace Arts Academy. We are in search of an Instrumental Music Lead at our Rothwell Campus with preference for an experienced Woodwind specialist.

Woodwind specialist – ability to teach high-level AMEB clarinet and saxophone – double reeds is highly desirable

Other instrument areas (including choral) also highly desirable

Conducting experience required – ability to conduct large-scale, award-winning wind bands

An experienced music teacher would be an advantage as this role has the potential to run Ignite Music Excellence program for years 7-9 (collaboration between curriculum/Academy).

About you

This position would suit someone with commitment to the ethos, Christian values and teachings of the College. The suitable candidate will also have:

  • Current Blue Card
  • Current driver's license and own transport
  • Ability to assist in preparing students for AMEB Exams
  • Ability to teach in group & private tuition contexts
  • Ability to teach primary & secondary school-aged students
  • Good pedagogy experience working with different age groups, confidence and flexibility in delivering content
  • Dynamic and energetic teaching which is engaging and is based on building excellent learning in the program
  • Ability to work and plan for a diverse range of students of mixed ability and special needs
  • Willingness to liaise with classroom teachers, support staff and special needs coordinators
