A leading aerospace and defence company in Adelaide seeks a Hardware Engineering Team Lead to provide technical leadership and people management of engineers. You will work autonomously, manage project deliverables, and drive innovative engineering solutions. Ideal candidates should have approximately 5 years of experience, strong technical understanding, and excellent communication skills. This role offers flexibility for onsite and remote work and focuses on continuous improvement in engineering processes.
As the Hardware Engineering Team Lead, you will provide technical leadership and people management to a team of engineers, enabling both the care and development of team members while ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality engineering artefacts.
Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will apply established engineering processes, tools and resources to successfully deliver a defined scope of engineering activities across the product and program lifecycle.
You will plan, monitor and deliver team activities to meet cost, schedule and quality requirements, while producing and reviewing technical documentation in accordance with applicable Delegations of Authority (DoA).
You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement, supporting multi-domain engineering decisions, and contributing to sustainable and innovative engineering solutions.
You are an experienced hardware engineer, you bring a strong understanding of design, analysis, manufacturing and support techniques within your discipline, along with an awareness of interfacing technologies.
Proven technical judgement underpins your ability to lead investigations, conduct single-domain risk assessments and ensure product safety obligations are met throughout the engineering lifecycle.
You have confidence in producing, reviewing and maintaining accurate technical documentation is matched by a sound understanding of applicable procedures, codes and standards.
