The Role:
Are you a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer seeking a rewarding role in the medical industry? Look no further! We are seeking an individual with a strong work ethic to join our team as a Field Service Engineer in Melbourne, Victoria. In this role, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our esteemed customers, including performing preventative maintenance, repairs, warranty work, field modifications, installations, commissioning, bench repair, and telephone technical support. Your commitment and technical expertise will greatly contribute to maintaining the high standards of service we provide within the medical industry.
Please note that this role may require you to be available to work after hours on a regular basis, and domestic travel may be required from time to time.
Responsibilities:
Perform necessary repairs and preventive maintenance on designated equipment in a professional and customer-focused manner
Ensure all repairs are attended to satisfactorily within the required timeframe
Provide technical assistance, including PC and/or systems-based products, via telephone or at customer sites
Prepare quotations for equipment repair and evaluation for warranty repair
Assess and report on product performance, faults, and make recommendations for improvement
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
Perform test equipment calibration and maintain all required documentation
Clean and functionally check all demo products before sending them to customer sites for evaluation
Ensure workshop tools and test equipment are in good order and within calibration.
Key Requirements:
Tertiary degree in Electronics / Biomedical Engineering /Electronics or related fields (Recent Graduates encouraged to apply)
Solid technical experience in an electro-mechanical and/or electrical field
Previous experience in the healthcare industry would be ideal, but not necessary
Understanding of servicing to Australia Standard AS3551
Valid and unrestricted Driver's license with access to a vehicle
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
This role will be subject to Working with Children checks and background checks.
