We have an opportunity for a passionate and motivated Asset Management and GIS Officer with well-developed problem-solving skills to join our team and support the ongoing development and maintenance of Council’s Asset Management System and Geographic Information System.

This role will provide you the opportunity to:

  • Collate, capture, and digitise Council’s asset data into Council’s Asset Management System and Geographic Information System.
  • Undertake and project manage the capture of assets and asset condition data in the field.
  • Improve the integrity of information held within Council’s Asset Management System and Geographic Information System, by participating in quality assurance programs.
  • Prepare data and system procedures and user guides.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the position (e.g. Spatial Sciences, Surveying, Engineering) or demonstrated knowledge, experience or skills in Geospatial Science, Civil Engineering, Surveying or relevant discipline. Some relevant experience in Asset Management and GIS, or a lesser formal qualification and substantial relevant experience.
  • Sound understanding of data bases, data management and storage, and data analysis.
  • Intermediate skills in Geographic Information Systems for data management.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational/administrative skills.
