Senior Logistics Officer

Petrochem Performance Chemicals, part of Mazrui Energy Services, is looking for a Senior Logistics Officer to be part of our Logistics team and perform routine logistics activities, inventory management, and import/export activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, oversee, and plan every activity that relates to inventory control with coordination with the logistics supervisor.
  • Review the minimum inventory level with operations manager/Country manager & logistics to bring them up to date regarding stock inflow and outflow.
  • Compile inventory information and present it to management for effective decision making, which may include the need for restock and so on.
  • Work alongside the warehouse supervisor to ensure the proper receipt of material, preservation, and distribution of chemicals without making any loss or damage.
  • Provide accurate information on inventory to customers.
  • Maintain inventory records in Oracle to properly account for issues, returns, receipts of new materials, and associated back orders.
  • Review balance of inventory and conduct cycle counts.
  • Coordinate annual physical counts.
  • Assist Logistics Manager with shipments to and from warehouses.
  • Prepare Sales & Service Invoices and their distribution.
  • Prepare export documentation as required by the Logistics Department.
  • Reconcile warehouse inventory with system inventory warehouses/Rigs periodically.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and clear the import shipment.
  • Review freight forwarder service invoices and forward to Logistics Manager for approval.
  • Train new joiners whenever required.
  • Follow and adhere to QHSE policies and processes.
  • Follow and adhere to PPC policies and processes.
  • Contribute to the sustainability program.

What we’re looking for

  • 5-7 years of experience in Logistics in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Understanding of customs clearance, import, export warehouse management, and inventory management.
  • Good knowledge of drilling fluids products and equipment is a plus.
