Job description

Head of Womenswear Design and Development

This is a not to be missed opportunity for a womenswear head of design, to join an award winning retailer as they have continued growth in Dubai.

The role:

1. Elevating the brand product experience across multi womenswear categories with a focus on global trends.
2. Designing the collection alongside team members.
3. Overseeing product development and sampling inclusive of fitting and price negotiation.
4. Supervising photo shoots.
5. Managing and mentoring the design team.
6. Working closely with merchandising and liaising with offshore suppliers.

The candidate:

1. Prior experience working in a senior womenswear design capacity with the ability to produce technical CAD drawings, fit samples and negotiate with suppliers.
2. An elevated and feminine handwriting.
3. Management experience.
4. Currently based in Dubai, or willing to relocate.

In return there is a salary up to 40,000 AED per month tax free, inclusive of accommodation allowance. Additionally you will have 30 days of annual leave plus public holidays and medical cover.
