Job description

We are working with a leading landscaping contractor in the United Arab Emirates who offers a wide range of services, including design, planning, construction & installation, and maintenance of landscapes for residential, commercial, and public spaces such as public & private parks, gardens, and streetscapes.

The business is owned by a well-known and leading Investment Holding company, which is looking to support this business in the next stage of their growth. The GM will provide overall leadership and direction to ensure that the organization achieves its goals, vision, mission, and objectives.

The individual will have an engineering background and experience having worked at various levels within organizations in the contracting industry/landscaping field. They will also need to have a strong financial acumen, with a track record of managing P&L and achieving revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
• Manage landscaping team, providing resources, support, training, and guidance; foster continued growth; delegate tasks and monitor progress; cultivate a positive work environment built on respect and accountability; ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.
• Make high-quality investing decisions to advance the business and increase profits.
• Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company's legality and business ethics.
• Ensure that the company’s products and services meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with relevant industry regulations.
• Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements.
• Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders.
• Manage the P&L to meet revenue and profitability targets, controlling costs and optimizing operational efficiency.
• Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company.
• Provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting the Group COO in developing long-range and annual plans with the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans.
• Responsible for the operational performance of the business, supporting and working closely with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
• Achieve financial performance of the company and provide reports to the Group COO.
