The Finance Director is responsible for providing financial leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to ensure sustainable business growth and efficiency. This role involves managing financial planning, reporting, and compliance while optimizing resources to drive long-term success. The Finance Director will also play a key role in governance, risk management, and business transformation initiatives.

This position requires extensive travel across the GCC to oversee financial operations, manage stakeholder relationships, and support business expansion efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals, supporting both organic and acquisitive growth.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Ensure robust financial risk management and compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including transaction processing, reporting (management and statutory), budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Optimize working capital, investment activities, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Establish strong financial controls and policies to safeguard assets and ensure transparency.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the finance function.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Support the transition of financial activities to centralized functions where applicable (e.g., accounts payable, procurement).
  • Play an active role in governance committees overseeing key strategic projects and business transformations.
  • Provide financial oversight and due diligence for new business initiatives, including greenfield developments and expansion projects.
  • Manage tax planning, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations.
  • Oversee banking relationships, cash flow management, and investment activities in coordination with treasury functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal audit processes.
  • Regular travel across the GCC region to oversee financial operations, conduct on-site reviews, and engage with key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with regional teams to ensure financial strategies align with local market dynamics.
  • Support business expansion, acquisitions, and financial due diligence efforts across multiple locations.

Requirements

  • Professionally qualified, with a preference for ACCA, CPA, CIMA
  • Extensive experience in financial leadership, preferably in a multi-entity or regional role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, reporting, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record in driving financial performance, cost optimization, and business efficiency.
  • Experience in financial transformation, including automation, system implementation, or shared services models, is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the GCC.
