Job description

The Clinic Manager for a primary healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi will play a key role in overseeing the operational, financial, and clinical aspects of the clinic, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in compliance with local regulations and healthcare standards, including JAWDA and TASNEEF. This position requires a dynamic leader with excellent organizational skills, in-depth knowledge of regional healthcare regulations, and the ability to foster a positive work environment for staff while ensuring the clinic runs efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

1. Staff Management:

  • Lead recruitment, training, and supervision of all clinic staff, ensuring adherence to local hiring and employment regulations.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals, providing constructive feedback and development opportunities.
  • Develop, manage, and adjust staff schedules to ensure optimal clinic coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care services in line with JAWDA, TASNEEF, and other relevant standards.
  • Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints with cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Monitor patient satisfaction levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance the patient experience.

3. Administrative Management:

  • Oversee clinic finances, including budgeting, billing, and revenue collection, ensuring compliance with UAE healthcare regulations.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient records, in compliance with local data protection laws.
  • Liaise with insurance providers for claim processing and verification of patient coverage.

4. Facility Management:

  • Ensure the clinic meets JAWDA and TASNEEF standards for safety, cleanliness, accessibility, and overall environment.
  • Manage medical supply and equipment inventory, ensuring compliance with local import and safety regulations.
  • Oversee facility maintenance and repairs in accordance with local building codes and regulations.

5. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay informed on updates to local healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, and industry standards in Abu Dhabi.
  • Ensure clinic operations comply with licensing, health, and safety regulations.
  • Implement and enforce policies that safeguard patient confidentiality and comply with UAE privacy laws.

6. Quality Improvement:

  • Monitor clinic performance metrics and identify opportunities for operational and clinical improvements.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives in line with JAWDA and TASNEEF guidelines.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development, supporting staff training and growth.

7. Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and health authorities, to maintain compliance with evolving healthcare standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in healthcare management, with a strong background in primary healthcare administration in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
  • Local Regulations Knowledge: In-depth understanding of JAWDA, TASNEEF, HAAD regulations, and other UAE healthcare standards.
  • Audit Experience: Experience with healthcare facility audits and quality assessments is highly desirable.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership capabilities, including team building, staff motivation, and navigating cultural diversity.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Multicultural Competence: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural healthcare environment.
